Seattle
The Space Needle, dating from the Century 21 Exposition in 1962, is the city’s
most recognizable landmark, appearing in TV shows like Frasier or series like Dark
Angel, Grey's Anatomy and iCarly. Of course, not everybody likes needles, not matter
the size and destination, so those in search for a n anti-wrinkle treatment can
always turn to the newest laser procedures.
Situated in the west of Washington State, about 96 miles south of the Canada – United
States border, Seattle will tempt you with a lot of quality caffeine, since companies
like Starbucks, Seattle's Best Coffee and Tully's have been founded here. And you
can also find a high tech clinic to try a non-ablative laser rejuvenation that targets
the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates it to produce more collagen and smooth
the skin.
Since you need some sessions of laser treatment for visible results, use the spare
time to go cycling, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, rock climbing, motor
boating, sailing or swimming, no matter the season. Or, if you aren’t too adventurous,
roam the halls of the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum or the
Seattle Central Library.
Another way to use lasers to become younger is the ablative skin resurfacing, which
literally vaporizes the skin and makes it become more even and smooth. It’s also
useful for brown spots, large veins or big pores, but be careful, because there’s
also a risk of scars or burns and of redness and swelling of the skin. But, what
better way to celebrate your new face than to go to a Nirvana, Alice in Chains,
Pearl Jam or Soundgarden concert, Seattle being their birthplace.
But, if you think that lasers are too risky, there’s always Intense Pulsed Light
(IPL), still a light therapy, but one that doesn’t destroy the top skin. Instead,
the light goes directly into the deeper layers of the skin and it’s also useful
for acne or rosacea. There are no side effects, so you can immediately go shopping
in Seattle at the Pike Place Market or the Fremont Troll.
