What is Thermage®?

Thermage is a radiofrequency skin rejuvenation and tightening device manufactured and marketing by Thermage, Inc of Hayward, CA. The Thermage procedure is a non-invasive, little-downtime treatment which may be performed over several sessions.

Treatment

The treatment sessions may last from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on the location of the treatment. General anesthesia is not administered prior to the session, however your doctor may offer pain medication based on your consultation.

During treatment it is common for patients to feel a heat sensation within their skin. Depending on the pain threshold of the individual this may be minor to more moderate.

Side-Effects

Following the treatment sessions generally there is redness of the skin for several days. No follow-up care is generally needed.

Results

Results may vary based on the individual case though Thermage cites smoother, firmer and tighter skin as typical for most patients.

Other Rejuvenation and Tightening Procedures include: Laser Skin Resurfacing, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, IPL, Radiofrequency Rejuvenation, Plasma Skin Regeneration or Injectables/ Dermal Fillers.
