Raleigh
Capital city of North Carolina and located in Wake County and Durham, Raleigh
is best known for its many oak trees which gave it the nickname “City of Oaks”.
Also, it is a good place to come and find a clinic with the best specialists in
treating wrinkles and other aging signs caused by the action of ultraviolet light
on the skin.
Raleigh has many suburbs and satellite towns (Cary, Garner, Wake Forest, Apex, Holly
Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Knightdale, Wendell and Rolesville) where you will surely
find a medispa to undergo a laser rejuvenating treatment or some other form of light
based skin resurfacing to make the nasty wrinkles go away.
The city is also a perfect place for those who like outdoor areas, with huge parks
and the J. C. Raulston Arboretum, an eight acre botanical garden in the west of
the city administered by North Carolina State University and opened daily without
charge. Also, one can enjoy BMX race tracks, no less than 8 aquatic facilities for
swimming and no less than 112 tennis courts in 25 locations.
So, plenty to do for the whole family; and you can go and relax at a spa, have a
microdermabrasion or a chemical peel to make your skin look smoother and younger.
Of course, deeper wrinkles will still be there, but these fast procedures will still
give you time to have fun along with your loved ones.
If you have more time and want to come back to some of the international shows in
Raleigh (organized by Warner Cable Music Pavilion), you could also try other laser
treatments for the deeper creases or brown spots on the hands and neck: Fraxel and
SmartSkin can take the years away from your face, but be careful if you have a darker
tone of skin. Lasers can cause you burns or scars, so make sure you have the best
specialist to offer you the best advice.
Less risky is the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) which doesn’t affect the surface of
the skin, going directly into the deep layers of the skin where the wrinkles start
to form. Like that, in 30 minutes, you can have a smoother skin and you will feel
like going to a play at the Burning Coal Theatre Company or visit exhibits featuring
Auguste Rodin or Claude Monet.
