Neck Lines and Wrinkles

   Wear Sunscreen on Your Neck
Neck skin is often damaged by the sun's rays
Laser is often used to improve the skin on the neck

The Neglected Neck

The skin on our neck is one of the most neglected areas of our bodies. It is often the most exposed part of our skin and can be subjected to the sun's unrelenting rays daily. 90% of the wrinkles and aging skin we treat on the neck is the result of the sun, not chronological aging. We have performed studies comparing the skin on the neck and compared that to the skin on the buttocks, because the buttocks skin is generally covered and the neck is typically exposed, and it generally exhibits all the signs of aged skin while the buttocks skin rarely does.

Treatment is Available

There are a variety of treatments available for patients interested in improving the look and feel of the skin on their necks. Laser treatments are often effective at improving the skin. The best course of action is to consult with a physician who is an expert in skin care and discuss treatment options for your particular issue. And be sure to wear sunscreen on your neck.

Treatment options for your head and neck include: Laser Skin Resurfacing, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, IPL, Radiofrequency Rejuvenation, Plasma Skin Regeneration or Injectables/ Dermal Fillers.
