I have had no treatments, (was thinking about it very little, but after reading many reviews, I decided I will never have any treatments except a good skin care program. It may be better to grow old gracefully, then to mess with mother nature. I believe once you start treatment and it is a successful one, one will have to continue for the rest of thier lives, as they could never possibly be happy with the way they were. What about 10 years from now?, Would we look worse than if we were not to have had any treatments at all? I think I'll take my chances. It makes you wonder what pressure society has put upon us, and what are we teaching our children and grandchildren? And we wonder why children under 16 are anorexic or want to have cosmetic surgery because they dont feel good about the way they look, but it is todays society that is teaching them "Your not okay" with the way you were born, and you can change it(if you got the money)and if you don't they'll even let you finance it (how sad is that really?)We say beauty is only skin deep, but do we really mean it? I look at my great grandmother and find out what she did, that she looks good at 90, very simple, she didnt have all the products and treatments we have today. If I can look half as good as she does at 90 then I'm okay with that.

It was the first time I had anything like this and the nurse suggested Dysport. She did my forehead, which came out fine, but also around my mouth. For at least a week, it felt like I had had a stroke. I couldn't really feel my mouth, I burnt myself drinking coffee, and my friends were sure I had had a stroke. This was in January 2011. Maybe they have taken care of this problem by now.

I had an eprime treatment 2 months ago and after some swelling and a bit of pain I can definitely see some results. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor next month to go over my progress but I can say I do see the improvement and I’m pretty happy with it. I’m glad I did it, and would recommend it.

I went to see my dermatologist for my botox treatment and I complained about my sagging wrinkles around my lower face. She told me about a new treatment called eprime which improves the texture of my skin with heat through small needles. I figured I’d try it since it was a one-time treatment, I didn’t need several series of visits to do it. After 3 months I have to say I’m pleased with the results I’m seeing. I may go back for a second treatment if I can (I think it’s a one-time thing).

a very respected doc in the area recommended evolence so I trusted and tried it. I was told it was natural collegan not synthetic and that it would last longer binding to my existing collegan IT DID it binded alright It collected together in beads that rolled when i put pressure on my lips. It lasted a very long time unfortunately about a year or so post injection I now have skin discoloring in the area almost as if a scar the area is about .5 inches whide and long. It tolerable. HOWEVER. I will never inject Evolence again. I went back to the doc again he is well respected. He at that time told me he was very sorry for the after affects and that he WOULD no longer use evolence on any of his patients. I was not the only one who had troubles
STEER CLEAR of Evolence Juvederm is the only injection that I have found that works well for me.
I was diagnosed with an Auto Immune disease 2 yrs after the Evolence I have to wonder if this is what sent my "T School",,(thyroid) out of wack helper T cells gone crazy

NO.. NO.. NO NO NO Do not inject Evolence the pig collagen did adhere to my collagen as they said it would...it also lasted a very very long time. Problem was the collagen formed beads in my lips. after a year or so the evolence did finally dissipate but left me with a scar really odd. the scar looks like a healed rug burn would look discoloration and an indention in my lip Thank goodness for Juve The indention is now plump.
The Real Stuff is not always the RIGHT way to go! or at least not for me
It is an ongoing battle against gravity Glad to see that I am not alone

I’m 46 and started to have some visible lines and wrinkles around my mouth. My daughter told me about Sculptra injections and so I did some online research. After seeing a doctor, I decided to go ahead with the treatment. My first visit took approx 20 min and I couldn’t see that much of a difference, except some swelling. The next day the swelling was gone and the results started to appear. The lines were diminished and I had no bumps. It was definitely worth it!!!

This is my second experience with fillers. The first was Restalyne a year ago. It took 2 vials. The results did not last more than 2 months and I didn't find that satisfactory for the price.
This treatment was with Juvederm XC and the thickest one, to restore fullness to my lips, remove the downward lines at corner of mouth and create slight fullness at nasiolabial fold by my nose. The nurse injector only used one vial and I am very happy with the subtle results. I look more rested and lifted. I'm 47, with fair, dry skin and had a hysterectomy 4 years ago that wrecked havoc on my collagen production. My lips are basically disappearing and my chin area is getting wrinkly/saggy.
It was painful around the lips, like a bee-sting, however the prior experience with Restalyne was more painful. This was with a topical anesthetic applied also.
Very minimal discomfort with the other injections and actually did not feel the ones at the nasio-labial folds.
I only had a small amount at nose/nasiolabial fold in order to reduce the shadowing I am beginning to get there.
I plan on getting a touch up in 2-3 months, in order to achieve the correct fullness. Adding in product slower seems to be the best route for me. I was told over time, I may be able to spread out treatment to 5-7 months. In conjunction with Botox, this is an affordable and good plan for my current needs to restore a youthfulness without looking surgically enhanced.

Had 1 syringe of Radiesse injected in my deep smile lines in November 2009. As of March 2010 I am still happy with results. Radiesse is painful and I did have swelling (looked like a gorilla) and slight bruising for a week. This is one injectable I would only have done by someone with a lot of experience with Radiesse. I am going to try Juvederm next time with hopes of having less down time. If you do Radiesse do it on a thursday before a long weekend.

This is my 3rd time getting Juvederm (each 12 months apart). I got one syringe in my lips, lip line to fill fine lines and some in the nasolabial folds. The first time I'd say it wore off after about 10-11 months. After the 2nd time when I went in a year later I could definitely still feel it in my upper lip. This 3rd time I actually might be able to go 14 months or so. I'm always happy with the results. I am the type of person to get some swelling so come home a apply cold packs for a few minutes every 15-30 minutes for about 4 hours and I think that greatly helps. The first two years I had a little bruising but this year NONE which is great. Also, this year I had the Juvederm XC which just came out this week. Its not like it didn't hurt but it was MUCH better with the lidocaine then without. I didn't feel every excruciating poke. Instead the initial pokes hurt but then numbed the area so the rest of them became more like dull pinches. A much better experience for me.

I went in for Perlane injections at a local spa after one my my girlfriends got her injections. She looked great so I had no doubt, only high hopes. The injections were painful, even with a numbing cream. The lines were not filled out to my satisfaction, and I had a lot of bruising and swelling. I won't be doing anything like this again.

I went in to get my laugh lines filled. It was 550 for one syringe, it hurt even with numbing cream, but knowing what I would look like after was the motivation that I needed. I have a great doctor who explained everything that I should expect, and so I think that helped. I will be doing this again for as long as I need to.

I had perlane injected into my lips to plump them up and into my face to get rid of some pretty deep wrinkles that I have. I went to a plastic surgeon with whom I had had other procedures performed so I never even thought to ask questions or see before and afters. I should have, considering it wasn't the doctor who injected me. I was bruised for a while, and my wrinkles are still extremely noticeable. I am not too pleased and feel like I wasted time and money.

My lips have always seemed small for my face, so after a couple of years of going back and forth, I decided to get them augmented. I didn't really know a lot about the different types of products that were out there, so I was kind of at the mercy of my doctor.
The pain overall was bearable. The doctor used topical numbing cream, and then a dental block, so I felt almost nothing while he was injecting me. After the numbing wore off, my lips were pretty sore and any pressure was painful, but it went away rather quickly.
After the initial swelling went down I was so happy with the way that my lips looked. They finally matched the rest of my features. I will definitely be doing this again.

I had really small, thin lips that I had always hated. I consulted my dermatologist as to what my options were. I decided to do a round of perlane to see how body would react, and to see what my lips would look like more plump. I am so glad I did. The injections were a tiny bit painful and I had some swelling afterward, but when that went away, I had amazing, plump lips. I really love the way that perlane made me look but I think now I am going to look for a more permanent solution.
