I go in twice a year for my botox and juvederm. I love them both and will continue to use them until I can no longer afford it. No one ever notices that I have anything done, i always just get asked if I have changed my hair or lost weight. Would suggest to anyone.

I had this filler injected into my nasiolabial folds and I was impressed about how good it looked and that it lasted for almost a year. I've tried many fillers, but this one is my favorite. It gives a very natural look that last a long time for a filler.

This is my second experience with fillers. The first was Restalyne a year ago. It took 2 vials. The results did not last more than 2 months and I didn't find that satisfactory for the price.
This treatment was with Juvederm XC and the thickest one, to restore fullness to my lips, remove the downward lines at corner of mouth and create slight fullness at nasiolabial fold by my nose. The nurse injector only used one vial and I am very happy with the subtle results. I look more rested and lifted. I'm 47, with fair, dry skin and had a hysterectomy 4 years ago that wrecked havoc on my collagen production. My lips are basically disappearing and my chin area is getting wrinkly/saggy.
It was painful around the lips, like a bee-sting, however the prior experience with Restalyne was more painful. This was with a topical anesthetic applied also.
Very minimal discomfort with the other injections and actually did not feel the ones at the nasio-labial folds.
I only had a small amount at nose/nasiolabial fold in order to reduce the shadowing I am beginning to get there.
I plan on getting a touch up in 2-3 months, in order to achieve the correct fullness. Adding in product slower seems to be the best route for me. I was told over time, I may be able to spread out treatment to 5-7 months. In conjunction with Botox, this is an affordable and good plan for my current needs to restore a youthfulness without looking surgically enhanced.

Unfortunately am the one in a million people whose body "metabolized" too quickly. Two months and $900.00 later, the nasal labial folds and marionette lines are back. My dermatologist initially told me it lasts 12-18 months. She contacted Allergen (the manufacturer) and said they have no record of anyone reporting it lasted only 2 months. I find that very hard to believe. She couldn't offer a complimentary "touch up" nor would Allergen refund my money or offer me a comp treatment.
Buyer Beware!

This is my 3rd time getting Juvederm (each 12 months apart). I got one syringe in my lips, lip line to fill fine lines and some in the nasolabial folds. The first time I'd say it wore off after about 10-11 months. After the 2nd time when I went in a year later I could definitely still feel it in my upper lip. This 3rd time I actually might be able to go 14 months or so. I'm always happy with the results. I am the type of person to get some swelling so come home a apply cold packs for a few minutes every 15-30 minutes for about 4 hours and I think that greatly helps. The first two years I had a little bruising but this year NONE which is great. Also, this year I had the Juvederm XC which just came out this week. Its not like it didn't hurt but it was MUCH better with the lidocaine then without. I didn't feel every excruciating poke. Instead the initial pokes hurt but then numbed the area so the rest of them became more like dull pinches. A much better experience for me.

I went in about 2 weeks ago for a juvederm/botox combo treatment and I am super happy with the results. I got the lift and smoothing out of my wrinkles that i was hoping for without any side effects. Now I just need to work on my skin tone (brown spots and freckles), and I will have the new face that I was hoping for. So glad I am doing this!
