I received Dysport less than two weeks ago and have made an appt to go back and receive a third treatment next week. It seems as though my body needs alot of it to start working. With Botox it took within 3 days with only one small touchup. I will see if it lasts longer than Botox, if not I'm definently going back with the Botox.

I am 55 and have the severe line in between my eyebrows that makes me look angry all the time. I had Dysport treatment (quite a few injections) and while the line smoothed out very nicely for about 2 months, I developed severe headaches and once I tripped, knew my mind was telling my foot to stabilize myself, yet could not react in time. Luckily that has gone away and not reoccurred. I have noticed a transfer of my 'tension' from frowning down into my jaw. And about 9 weeks later, the line is getting pronounced again.... not sure whether I will go back again or not....

These treatments are scary ... One only realizes how scary just before the Dermatologist puts the laser to the skin ... so many things can go wrong. Proceed with caution. I would recommend doing your forehead first. It does not leave lines, so do a section of your face first before doing your entire face. If you have darker skin, consider hydroquinone as pre treatment. I am Caucasian with dark eyes and dark hair. We can develop post inflammatory hyper pigmentation because of the melanin content in our skin. Don't let anyone touch your face but a Dermatologist. Ask them what treatment level they are going to use on your face. My Dermatologist only uses 20 mj for now. Increasing the energy increases the risk. So far, everything has gone according to plan. My only concern is that I can't use hydroquinone. It irritates my skin. I am going to purchase a product called Lumixyl for pre treatment. One must also remember never to go in the sun after these treatments. You need to avoid the sun for more than a year. However, I believe it is worth it in the long run. Wear UVA and UVB sunblock. Even walking to your car can cause browns spots to develop after laser treatment. I will keep you updated. I have my next treatment scheduled towards the end of July. (Winter is the best months to do these treatments) I live in South Africa.

I just got it done today. This is my first time. I noticed a difference within hours. The nurse said to keep my head up for the first 4-6 hours and not to wear a hat or anything on my forehead for 2 weeks. This is to help it not spreading down. So far I love it, my frown lines are gone!

I love Dysport. I had been using Botox with great results, so I was hesitant on trying something new. However, my doctor told me it was cheaper and lasted longer and she was right. I saw the results within 3 days and it lasts around 5 months for me.
For all of those concerned with it spreading and causing a droopy eyelid, I believe it depends on your doctor and his/her knowledge with the product. My doctor told me that it is thinner and spreads; therefore, she didn't go close to my eyelid and it still smoothed out the wrinkles. She also did my crows feet and only used two injections at the start of the area closest to my hairline. She did this so I would not have any negative side effects and I have not.
I realize that everyone's body responds differently, and while I love Botox, it often gave me a headache after the injection. I've not had any side effects with Dysport. I'm completely satisfied.

My first time with anything "cosmetic" and I just turned 49. I do not have the typical "11's" between my brows, but what looks like sagging muscle After 60 units of Dysport I am already noticing a difference. After about 4 hours, one of the girls in my office commented that I looked more "rested". I did not divulge my secret until after her comment. I only did a small area, because I was worried about reaction. Will definitely do more in the future.

I love the effect that Dysport has done for me thus far! I noticed results within hours and it keeps improving.
I had the glabellar region done to get rid of my "Elevenses", that I HATED, I looked tired and angry. My son would often ask me why I was mad, and my husband would tell me that I even scowled in my sleep. I've been dealing with depression as well and decided a little pick-me-up was in order.
While I still have to deal with real life of course, I can't stress enough how much just being able to look in the mirror and not see that angry two-lane highway between my brows has done for me, it lifted my spirits quite a bit!
The PA that did the injections for me also used Dysport on her own glabellar region and her forehead looked great and still allowed some natural up and down movement that was important to me, so I trusted her judgment for placement and deservedly so.
I have used Botox once in the past; it seemed to freeze everything and I looked like a Stepford Wife or Zoe-bot, not to mention wearing off in less than 3 months.
Now, I look like I feel inside, which is better and better everyday. Well worth the slight pinch (not too bad, but I also didn't use topical numbing cream beforehand) and the price (less than what I paid even with Buddy-Botox discounts), but find an experienced PA or Dr. to inject, I could see how inexperience could backfire. It's strong stuff and it does seem to spread more; two of my forehead lines disappeared too, but I still have expressive up/down movement in my brows, and no more "Elevenses". I would recommend and will use again.

I had botox a couple of times before. But after this last experiance never again!!!!! Eight days after botox my right eye lid started dropping. I look like a freak. Now my eye are totally uneven. I have been wearing fake eye glasses to try and hide my eye. It's been about a month now and still my eye is droppy. I pray it goes away. I would rather have wrinkes then a dropping eye lid. Every morning I get up hoping its gone. Never again!!!! Worst money I have every spent.

I wanted to get an eye lift without going through surgery. I discussed numerous options with my plastic surgeon before finally deciding on sculptra (I had read that it lasted quite a long time in comparison to any other injectables).
I had a little bit of bruising and swelling, and it really hurt to massage the bruised areas, but I did it anyway, I didn't want to risk the chance of any lumpiness.
Now my face looks amazing! Sculptra took off 10 years. I am so happy with the results, and as long as it lasts me for a while, I will go back in again for touch ups.

I go in about 3 times a year to get Botox injected into my forehead. I have been doing this for the last 3 years. It is totally worth the cost, I love the way that it makes me look and feel. I never have any major swelling, and the bruising only lasts for a couple of days and is easily covered by make up. If you are thinking about it, do it.

I've had Botox a half dozen times or more between two different doctors. Though my regular dermatologist had never injected me, I asked if he could use Botox to help my sagging jawline. He used Dysport all over my face, and it was like a face lift - really incredible. The only side effect was a slight headache after the first 24 hours. It lasted for a couple of days, but was not bad enough to take any meds for it. It transformed my face, jawline & neck without any cutting or lasers! The treatment lasted for at least six months or more. I had major surgery seven months after receiving Dysport, and afterwards experienced a lot of pain during recovery, and that is when my wrinkles started coming back, understandably. I'm ready for my second treatment. It was very expensive, yet worth it. It seemed to take effect earlier than Botox, noticed it in maybe two to three days, yet it kept developing over a week or more.

I have been using Botox and decided to try dysport because of the rebate currently being offered. I had very low expectations and assumed that dysport would be an inferior product. I was wrong; For me Dysport worked immediately and has lasted longer than botox. I am convinced and will not be going back to botox. I do wish that Dysport had a program similar to Allergan brillant distinctions.

Dysport was a great decision, because it was something I wanted to do for a long time, but just could not make up my mind. It was not as painful as I thought it might be, the needle was incredibly thin and all I felt was a mild pin prick. No side effects, just a little bit of redness. No bruising or swelling. The results were visible right away, my skin is smoother and the wrinkles between the eyes almost disappeared completely. I feel more confident and relaxed after the dysport injections. I am extremely excited with the results and I do recommend it to anyone willing to improve their skin appearance and look a little younger.

Botox was a good thing to do because it really changed my life. I believe that anyone should do it at some point. My forehead and eye wrinkles were becoming an issue for me and I wanted to get rid of them. Everyone around me was talking about Botox but I never really knew how it worked. I made an appointment with my dermatologist, and now, 2 days later, I can already see the difference. No saggy eyebrows, no scowl lines. Plus a fairly pain free experience. I’m happy with the results and I recommend Botox to anyone who wants to look a few years younger and healthier. My doctor told me the results would last up to 4 months, which is really great because I can't afford to do it any more than a couple times a year.

Dysport is horrible! This is my first experience with treatment for wrinkle removal. I went in for Botox and the Dr. talked me into Dysport by saying that it was the same as Botox but cheaper, works faster, & lasts longer. The 1st treatment I had the Dysport was injected into my forehead & around my eyes. Within in 24 hrs the left side of my face was starting to tingle & I could feel it tightening up. I thought this was normal because of my lack of experience. After 5 days the left side of my forehead was completely paralyzed and the wrinkles had lessened but were not completely gone. The right side of my forehead was exactly the same as it was before I had the injection. I had my 2nd injection on the right side of my forehead a week later. Four hours after that 2nd injection I noticed that my left eye was drooping. I called the Dr & it has been an ongoing battle with them to tell me what is going on. After doing my own research I have found many other people that this has also happened to. It has been 5 days since the 2nd injection & my right eye is now starting to droop also. So now I have spent alot of money for 2 droopy eyes & the wrinkles are still not completely gone.

But when my dermatologist mentioned another product, Dysport, was very similar and less expensive, I thought I would try it. I have to say I was skeptical but no more. I am very surprised and pleased. My dermatologist said Dysport's been available in Europe for a long time, too bad not in the US. I would have saved quite a bit of money.

Dysport was used on my forehead for the lines in between my eyebrows. Instead of the normal botox result (where a smoothing result is achieved), I ended up with extremely puffy eyes (area above the eyelid and below the eyebrows). That has still not gone away (three weeks after the fact). And, to add insult to injury, it never 'smoothed' out the lines between my brows.
The skin center completely agreed with me and I am going back for a second injection of botox to try to help with the lines. They told me it's a 'mixed bag of results'.
I would never, ever get this again. It left me puffy and feeling tired (b/c of the weight of my eyes). Terrible.
