St. Petersburg
Even though is bears the same name as the Russian city, St. Petersburg is nicknamed
"The Sunshine City” and has nothing to do with snow and heavy winters, but with
beaches between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Divided into more than 100 neighborhoods,
it is surely a good place to start looking for a clinic and the best specialist
to recommend you an anti-wrinkle treatment that will make you look at least 10 years
younger.
Even if you have to spend soma half an hour in the doctor’s cabinet in several sessions
if you choose a non-ablative laser rejuvenation, you will still have plenty of time
to explore the museums in the city, dedicated to children (Great Explorations) or
grown-ups (Museum of Fine Arts, Holocaust Museum, and the Salvador Dalí Museum,
which houses the largest collection of Dalí's in the world). But it will be time
well spend on both sides, because the laser treatment goes deep into the layers
of the skin and treats creases from the forehead, around the mouth or eyes, brown
spots from the hands or enlarged pores.
If a laser procedure isn’t suited for your type of skin (too sensitive or in a darker
tone), try another light treatment like Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). Also called
phototherapy, IPL isn’t a laser, so it will not damage your skin, but will solve
the problems at their source, deep inside the skin. “Spider” veins, irregular pigmentations,
wrinkles will be only a memory and only minor redness or swelling may appear.
And you can spend the rest of your time in St. Petersburg by going to see a play
at the Mahaffey Theater complex or the Midtown Royal Theater, shopping downtown
at the BayWalk or see a movie at the IMAX Muvico 20 screen movie theater.
And if time is even shorter, go for the “lunch time” treatments of microdermabrasion
or chemical peel; you will achieve good results with a smoother and healthier looking
skin, you will have more time to go to chain restaurants and retail high-class shops.
Still, for greater and longer lasting effects, some of the above treatments are
more efficient.
