What Causes Wrinkles & Aging Skin?

The Sun is the main culprit
The Sun damages the skin’s composition and causes aging skin
Chronologically aged skin looks almost identical to normal skin
90% of the skin aging we treat and that concerns us results from
the sun, NOT from chronological aging. To show this, one only has
to look at sun-exposed skin and skin protected from the sun on the same person. For example, we have done studies comparing the
skin on the buttocks and the neck and the neck skin has all five of
the signs of sun-damaged skin
. This includes fine lines and
wrinkles, enlarged pores, sagging skin, brown spots, and spider veins. The buttocks skin has none of these signs.

Chronologically aged skin looks almost identical to normal, non-
aged skin. One of the only differences is the loss of adipose that
occurs with age. This means we do naturally lose some of the fatty
layer beneath our skin as we age and the skin will tend to sag more.
But the skin itself looks almost perfect. So wrinkling and aged-
looking skin is really caused almost exclusively by the sun.

Some Wrinkle & Anti-Aging Treatments Include: Laser Skin Resurfacing, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, IPL, Radiofrequency Rejuvenation, Plasma Skin Regeneration or Injectables/ Dermal Fillers.
